The sister of murdered Adam Ellison has shared the heart-breaking last message from her brother before he was "cruelly taken away".
On November 4, 2017, Adam Ellison's family and friends were told the devastating news he had been killed. The 29-year-old was stabbed to death during a night out in Prescot, in the early hours of November 4, 2017.
He was attacked by two men on a scrambler bike on Market Place and stabbed in the neck. Adam was rushed to hospital, after being stabbed with the unknown weapon, but was pronounced dead shortly after 2am.

In the years since his murder a number of arrests have been made but, to date, nobody has been charged. But as we approach five years since his death, the family continue to fight for justice.
Posting on the Facebook page ADAM - an official fundraising page run by his family and friends - Adam's sister shared her last ever message before her brother was "so cruelly taken". The post read: "Can’t believe it is five years in a few weeks my heart still hurts it never gets any easier without you Adam I love you."
The heartbreaking post is the latest appeal in their fight for justice as family and friends continue to live in a nightmare. Close friend Bev Lowton told the ECHO: "This was Joanne's last conversation with him.
"The last time his mum heard his voice was a few hours before he died to say could he stay in hers and he told her he loved her. At the age of 29, that shouldn't have been their last words. They should still be able to talk to him and see him.
"They hold on to the little things like that, they have to. It's sad the think that five years on we still haven't got justice. We are still waiting. The effect it's having, especially on family, is heart-breaking. The family dread this time of year, it's the flashbacks coming back to haunt them.
"It never goes away but this time of year is the worse. They remember the phone call they got when Adam had been attacked, the flashbacks of being in hospital and it's worse as the years go on.
"It's the milestones he's missing. He was soon turning 30, his friends have all now had children, he could've. He could've been married. It's the ripple effects on the family and it's harder without justice. We want what's right for him."
The ADAM Foundation (Achieving Dreams And Memories) set up in Adam's memory continues to campaign against knife crime across Merseyside and supports community initiatives in the Prescot area. Visiting schools and colleges in Knowsley, they aim to prevent knife crime and prevent other families going through what they have.
Bev added: "We've gone into schools to talk about knife crime. It needs to be preventative. It shouldn't just be when something happens.
"Things need to be in place so children and young people know who to speak to, the preventative measures need to be there. We really need to be out there a lot more in terms of opportunity wise and it's great we can continue to do that because knife crime is becoming more common every day. Innocent people are losing their lives to weapons.
"People really need to put themselves in Adam's family's shoes. If it was their loved one, you would have the right for justice and that's all they are asking for. They want justice to be served. This person is a threat to the public, they are not a decent human being for taking a life and they need to pay for what they've done.
"People need to do the right thing. Five years is way too long."
