- Adam Driver has responded to claims made by Lena Dunham in her new memoir, Famesick, regarding his on-set behaviour during the filming of the HBO series Girls.
- Dunham alleged that Driver, who portrayed her on-off boyfriend in Girls from 2012 to 2017, was “verbally aggressive” and once threw a chair at a wall next to her.
- Her memoir also described other incidents, including Driver punching a hole in a trailer wall and screaming in her face, characterising him as “half-man, half-beast.”
- At the Cannes press conference for his new film Paper Tiger, Driver briefly addressed the allegations, stating, “I have no comment on any of that. I’m saving it all for my book.”
- Dunham's book further implied a near-romantic encounter and quoted Driver as saying he would “always love” her upon wrapping Girls - though she claims she never heard from him again.
