'Active' schoolboy, 14, diagnosed with aggressive cancer after mum spotted tell-tale signs

An "active" schoolboy was diagnosed with cancer and left fighting for his life after his mum spotted crucial tell-tale signs.

Yusuf Ali, 14, lot his appetite and was unusually tired when he was rushed to see his doctor, but after nothing was done his mum Tansneem, who is a GP herself, looked into what the issue could be and carried out a blood test at home.

Yusuf, who was 11 at the time, was living with a very aggressive form of blood cancer which would have killed him without urgent treatment.
