Abigail White told by parents of murdered Bradley Lewis they will never forgive her

The parents of murdered Bradley Lewis shared their thought after his killer was jailed for life. Following a two-week trial Kingswood mum-of-three Abigail White has been jailed for life after a jury convicted her of murdering her partner Bradley.

White, 24, of Chipperfield Drive, Kingswood, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Bradley in March but pleaded not guilty to his murder. After being convicted by a jury of six women and four men trial judge he Honourable Mr Justice Fraser jailed her for life with a minimum jail term of 18 years.

In the course of the sentencing the court heard victim impact statements from Bradley's dad Steve and his mum Rachel. Steve said he wanted the court to be aware of the devastating effect of Brad's killing.

He said the news was completely traumatic and losing Bradley was the hardest thing he has ever experienced in his life, such was the overwhelming sense of grief and pain. Bradley was always able to make you smile, his dad said, adding that his stress level had risen and he had had to undergo counselling. He added White had condemned him to a life of grief and he will never forgive her.

Rachel Hawkins, Bradley's mum, made a statement in which she said part of her world ended when police told her Bradley had died. She said the loss will be with her for the rest of her life.

Rachel said Bradley was a loving son who had a great relationship with his siblings and it was painful to think he would not be there for his children. She said White killed her son and broke the heart of her family and she will never be forgiven.

Outside court, surrounded by family and friends, Steve read a further statement. He said: "Brad's death has brought so much sadness, not just to his family, but the many people that knew him.

"Proof of this was shown by the hundreds of people that attended his funeral and events that were arranged in his memory. His popularity has also been shown by the memorials that are on display at various locations in South Gloucestershire.

"We are in a sense lucky as a family to have, and still receive, overwhelming support from everyone that knew Brad, or knows us, and I thank those people for that."
