Aaron Ramsey facing post Rangers career spiral as Juventus 'open talks' to terminate contract

Juventus are reported to have opened talks to release Aaron Ramsey from his contract a year early.

The Welshman joined Rangers on loan to much fanfare in January and was tipped to be the difference for Gio van Bronckhorst's team.

But injury has severely limited his involvement with just nine starts in all competitions despite the Ibrox's club's hectic schedule.

Ramsey also missed the crucial penalty against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League Final and it's believed Gers have no interest in taking him back to Ibrox next season.

That's left Juventus with a decision to make and Calcio Mercato say they are keen to offload him and get his substantial wages off the bill.

They say Juve have given up hope of acquiring a fee for the former Arsenal midfielder and are content to let him go for nothing a year early.

To that end, it's claimed they have opened talks with the 31-year-old about releasing him from his contract.

In total Ramsey has managed 13 appearances for Rangers, scoring twice and assisting two.

He may have one final chance to make an impact against Hearts on Saturday.
