Rising Scots star Aaron Hickey has the potential to be "world class", according to Italy international Lorenzo De Silvestri.
The former Hearts youngster is catching the eye in Serie A with Bologna and has been linked with a number of exciting transfers.
And De Silvestri, a former Lazio and Fiorentina defender, has been blown away by the left-back's rapid progress as he tipped him to go all the way to the top of the game.
He said: "There's no doubt Aaron Hickey will go on to have a top career. He could be world class. He is the future and a great talent for Bologna.
"He was born in 2002 and he is already doing incredible things. When I was his age, I was not as strong as he is. His technique is also a lot better than mine was at that age.
"He plays comfortably with both feet and despite the language difficulties, he understands everything you tell him
"Really, there are so many good things with him.
"I suppose at 33 I can be considered a veteran, but I look at myself as an older brother for Aaron and the younger players in the team. I enjoy working with the different cultures in the dressing room."
