Ayrshire's busiest road is gridlocked following a car crash this afternoon.
It's understood that emergency services have been dispatched to the A77 following what's believed to be a single-vehicle smash.
Traffic is reportedly gridlocked on the A77 northbound as a result of the collision, impacting on motorists heading to Glasgow.
Inrix states: "A77 Northbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, one vehicle involved from A71 (Bellfield Interchange) to Grassyards Interchange. Affecting traffic heading towards Glasgow."
Police Scotland confirmed that a one car crash northbound on the A77 has been reported.
It's understood that no injuries have been reported.
