Finally, Pat McAfee has to pay up.
Each week on ESPN’s College GameDay, McAfee has been trying to hammer home the importance and difficulty of placekicking. The loud mouth who was formerly a kicker and punter for the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Indianapolis Colts has been ponying up cash each week, betting a fan or student in the crowd that they can’t kick a field goal. Most have failed, including a Duke fan who hilariously kicked the ball directly into a camera.
But now McAfee has to reach into his wallet and give up $30,000 to Greyson from Washington.
The hold by Kirk Herbstreit was solid, the kick went up, and it was good.
And I think we can all admit that we enjoy seeing McAfee hand out cash to college students more than him bloviating with Aaron Rodgers once a week.
Here’s the impressive kick by young Greyson:
After the crowd chanted for one more kick, Greyson from Washington won the College GameDay field goal kicking contest for $30,000. Congrats Greyson on joining Aaron Rodgers in getting paid by Pat McAfee! pic.twitter.com/mHRi3F943t
