SoTFest, a Sea of Thieves community convention, apparently had to call off its afterparty early because the venue had started receiving reports of drinks being spiked with an “unknown substance.”
As first spotted by Dexerto, the fifth annual SoTFest, taking place at the Bescot Stadium in Walsall, England, had to prematurely end its afterparty on July 11, with the organizers notifying everyone via Discord that reports were made of spiked drinks.
“We had reports that there have been potentially multiple drinks spiked with an unknown substance,” the organizers said, asking everyone who has any suspicions to immediately notify the staff at their closest venue. The hotel where folks are staying was also apparently informed of the incident.
