A Place in the Sun's Jonnie Irwin was supported as he shared a glimpse into his New Year's trip.

The property expert has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The 49-year-old chose to keep his illness private until last November, but hopes sharing his diagnosis will encourage others to "make the most of every day".

Jonnie shares three sons with his wife, Jessica Holmes, and he regularly shares updates from his home life on Instagram. He has taken to the social media platform to post snaps from his New Year celebrations as they enjoyed a holiday.
