A Place in the Sun Jean Johannson taken aback by buyer's explicit confession

Jean Johannson was taken aback by a buyer's explicit confession on today's A Place in the Sun.

The property expert returned to front Friday's edition of the popular Channel 4 programme. She was helping Manigeh and Ian find their dream holiday home in Torrevieja.

They were searching for a property with enough space to entertain their large family, which comprised of 10 children between them. The couple were armed with a maximum budget of £90,000 and were looking for a minimum two bedroom home in the Spanish seaside town.

Jean sent a warning early on in the search as she said the buyers might need to reconsider their criteria to find properties within budget. She said: "It is a challenge in this area so I know what you can get for £90,000. There will be compromises to be had but I'm going to do my best to get all what you want into the property."

The search got off to a smooth start as they fell in love with the second home on the search. Jean was hard pressed to find a stronger contender and took the house-hunters to a three-bed townhouse in El Chaparral.

The upstairs bedroom led on to a large upstairs terrace. Ian was concerned the terrace was overlooked by other homes on the road, which led Manijeh to joke he "will just have to now walk around naked".

Ian shot back: "Again." The host was surprised by the exchange as she said: "It's always good to try to not do that in a neighbourhood like this I reckon."

The buyers eventually ruled out the property as they preferred the location of the second home. The three-bed Townhouse in Torrevieja was priced at £84,052 and they eventually secured the home for £81,000.
