A Place In The Sun buyer leaves Lee Juggurnauth speechless with frosty response

An awkward exchange left tension in the air on today's episode of A Place in the Sun.

Lee Juggurnauth jetted off to Dordogne in South West France to help Julie and Peter find their perfect holiday home. With a budget of £200,000, they were looking for a two-bed detached house with traditional French features.

After taking a tour of some gorgeous properties, their lacklustre responses didn't go unnoticed by Lee and the viewers. The first two locations they called "amazing" but their responses failed to transcend past monotone, nor show any signs of happiness on their faces.

Lee asked the couple if they liked what they saw only to be met with a "yep." The response was prevalent throughout the show as Lee struggled to get much more reaction from either of the home hunters. At property number three, a frosty exchange left an awkward silence in the air as Julie's bluntness left Lee speechless.

Despite matching all of their needs, Julie took major offence over a set of stairs being seen in the living room. She said: "I don't like staircases in my lounge." Stone-faced in her declaration, Lee tried his best to soften the unwanted addition as he said: "It's inoffensive, you can't really see it."

Not breaking eye contact, Julie added: "It's there."

The A Place In The Sun presenter let the couple have a look around the property alone and gave the camera a rundown on the details of the home. The cold exchange didn't go unnoticed by viewers, as one said: "Poor Lee...this is hard work for him!"

Another added: "Why are they on this, she would rather be anywhere but there."

A third viewer said: "Sorry peeps I can’t watch this anymore!!!"

A final comment added: "Must be so hard for a presenter not to say “cheer up!"

In the end, Julie and Peter walked away with nothing as their offer of £150,000 for a £200,000 property was rejected by the owner.
