Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was among the best-received movies of its type. It nailed the setting, the writing was pretty good, and the cast seemed to know what they were doing with Faerun characters. Speaking of the writing, it was actually so good that it spawned numerous memorable scenes that became part of the broader pop culture and probably brought a lot of eyes to D&D in general.
But a sequel, though already written, will probably never happen. According to Screen Rant, Honor Among Thieves co-creator Jonathan Goldstein said that, due to “a number of financial reasons,” the sequel will probably never come out.
