September is bringing a packed calendar of Latin music, Spanish-language television and international soccer to Hulu + Live TV Español, with Premios Juventud 2026, the Univision broadcast premiere of Tierra de Amor y Coraje, and several of Liga MX's fiercest rivalries anchoring the month.
The programming push begins Thursday, September 3, when Premios Juventud broadcasts live from Starlite Marbella in Spain. This year's ceremony marks the first time the long-running Latin music awards have been held outside the Americas.
Coverage begins with the red-carpet special Noche de Estrellas at 6 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. CT on UNIMÁS and Galavisión. The main ceremony follows at 7 p.m. ET on Univision, UNIMÁS and Galavisión, all available through Hulu + Live TV Español.
Mexican singer-songwriter Carín León leads the 2026 field with nine nominations. Beéle, Kany García and Rauw Alejandro follow with seven nominations each, while Spanish artist Quevedo leads the host country's contenders with six. The ceremony is expected to emphasize the increasingly global reach of Latin music, bringing together established stars and artists representing regional Mexican, reggaeton, tropical, Latin pop and Spanish urban music.
The performance lineup includes Marc Anthony, Christian Nodal, Morat, Farruko, Ana Mena, Quevedo, Greeicy, Elvis Crespo, Mau y Ricky, Camilo, Wisin, Yandel, Ángela Aguilar, Natanael Cano and Manuel Carrasco. The combination creates a cross-generational bill stretching from salsa and merengue to música mexicana and contemporary urbano.
Four days later, Univision will give Tierra de Amor y Coraje its U.S. broadcast television premiere. The telenovela, which debuted on ViX in August, arrives on the network September 7 at 9 p.m. ET and will air on weeknights.
Produced by José Alberto "El Güero" Castro, the series stars Sofía Castro, Brandon Peniche, Emmanuel Palomares and Emilio Osorio.
It transports the heightened emotions and family conflicts of a classic telenovela into a contemporary Western world of ranches, desert landscapes and a violent fight for control of mineral-rich land.
The story begins after the parents of the Coraje brothers are killed in an accident orchestrated by a rival determined to take possession of their ranch. The conflict becomes more complicated when Clara, the daughter of the man behind the plot, enters their lives and forms a connection with the family her father tried to destroy.
Filmed in Tucson, Phoenix, Tubac and Sedona, the production uses Arizona's mountains and desert terrain as more than a backdrop. The landscape gives the series a visual identity rarely seen in traditional Spanish-language melodramas while placing its romantic and generational conflicts inside a story about land, inheritance and power.
Univision's weeknight drama block will also include Corazón de Oro at 10 p.m. ET. The series follows Luz, a hardworking single mother whose unexpected inheritance exposes family secrets, divided loyalties and competing ambitions.
At 8 p.m., Tan Cerca de Ti, Nace el Amor will head into its final episodes. Its central character, Verónica Arellano, assumes a false identity and goes undercover as a housekeeper to reconnect with Rebeca, the daughter she relinquished for adoption years earlier.
Soccer will occupy an equally prominent place in the September schedule. Liga MX delivers three of its signature rivalry matches, beginning with Cruz Azul against América in the Clásico Joven on September 12. Monterrey and Tigres meet one day later in the Clásico Regio.
The most anticipated Mexican soccer matchup of the month arrives September 19, when América faces Guadalajara in the Clásico Nacional at 11 p.m. ET on Univision and TUDN. The rivalry between two of Mexico's most popular clubs traditionally attracts viewers well beyond the teams' home markets.
September's Liga MX calendar also includes Monterrey against Cruz Azul on September 19 and Cruz Azul against Toluca on September 26. Mexico's national team is scheduled to play Colombia in a friendly that same day, followed by another match against Peru on September 29.
European club soccer also returns, with the UEFA Champions League beginning its league phase September 8. UEFA's official competition calendar lists opening matches from September 8 through September 10. The Europa League follows September 16 and 17, according to UEFA.
Together, the awards, telenovelas and soccer schedule give Hulu + Live TV Español a September lineup built around three enduring pillars of Spanish-language television: music, melodrama and fútbol.
