A weight-loss product sold directly to American consumers online contains two undeclared substances that federal laboratory testing identified in separate pills of the same package: a prescription antidepressant in the daytime tablets, and an industrial chemical with no approved use in the nighttime tablets.
The product is Lipofit Extreme 2.0 Fat Burner. The Food and Drug Administration published its warning against the product on June 4, 2026, after laboratory analysis confirmed fluoxetine in the daytime (am) tablets and 2,4-dinitrophenol in the nighttime (pm) tablets, neither listed on the label. Nearly three months on, the advisory remains active, and the product remains on the agency's list of tainted weight-loss products, which is why it still matters to anyone with a bottle on a shelf.
