Photos have leaked online of Manchester United's away kit for the 2022/23 season and many fans are happy with the final product. The new kit is white with red and black stripes on the shoulders and is reminiscent of the club's kit from the 1998/99 season.
Many fans will remember this as the kit that United wore when Ryan Giggs scored his famous goal against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final that season. Sir Alex Ferguson's team of course went on to win that game and then win the final as they completed one part of their famous treble.
United's home kit also takes inspiration from the respective kit from the 1998/99 season. It seems that in Erik ten Hag's first season and with everything going against them, they want to take inspiration from past successes.

Over the past few seasons, the responses to United's kits have been a mixed bag. While some have absolutely loved them, others have not been so sold on them, especially the away and third kits.
No kit split opinion more than United's third kit from two seasons ago that employed a zebra design. Some fans loved it, others called it an eyesore and while the shield around the badged and the stripes on the shoulders have drawn slight criticism, the response, in general, has been overwhelmingly positive.
With the leaks being posted by FootyHeadlines.com, many United fans have offered their opinions. These are just a few of the responses that were posted on social media:
