The five-time Masters champion pleaded not guilty March 31 after being charged with driving under the influence, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. (He passed a Breathalyzer but refused a urinalysis to check for other substances.) Afterward, Tiger Woods released a statement on X saying that he understood “the seriousness of the situation” and was taking steps toward “lasting recovery,” but according to brand expert Eric Schiffer, it’s going to take more than that.
