‘95% job opportunities are for locals’

Finance and Health Minister T. Harish Rao called upon the youth to complete and prove themselves in getting selected for government jobs for which notifications are being released.

“We have established the best training camp here. Last time about 800 persons got selected for TET out of the 1,000 aspirants who attended for coaching. Nothing comes free and you have to work hard to get selected. We have made arrangements in such a way that everyone gets equal opportunities. About 95 per cent posts are being reserved for locals,” said Mr. Harish Rao while addressing a gathering of unemployed after inaugurating ‘KCR free training camp’ at TRS office at Siddipet district headquarters on Saturday.

“In the past you have to go to Hyderabad for getting any sort of training and spend thousands of rupees. Now the same quality training is being offered here along with offering free food. We will be happy if you got selected for job,” said the Minister adding that presently about 600 aspirants are being offered training at the centre.

Alleging that the BJP has created ruckus over G.O. 371 aimed at creating equal opportunities to all, the Minister has suggested them to come out of social media and TVs till examinations are over.

Later in the day, addressing a meeting of Asha workers after handing them over cell phones at Siddipet, Mr. Harish Rao said that excellent results can be achieved if 27,000 Asha workers work united. “Fever survey conducted in the State was appreciated by the Centre. We have to work perfectly at field level. Functioning in about 202 sub-centres out of the total 5,500 sub-centres is not good and about 80 per cent of deliveries are taking place in private hospitals. We have to change the situation,” said Mr. Harish Rao.
