Fall is a very meal-oriented time of year. The pumpkin carvings, potlucks, Thanksgiving dinner, and all those cheeky 5 p.m. charcuterie gatherings tend to happen around the table. So while every room may deserve a little fall decor, this surface, as the epicenter of everything, arguably deserves the most.
For 2026, though, designers are less interested in making the table scream fall. ‘Found’ vintage accents might mingle with intentionally imperfect materials, plenty of texture, and things you very likely already own. Corny corn motifs? Pretty much nonexistent. Instead, we’re feeling the fall fantasy with color and patina, then shaking up the scene with the occasional unexpected touch. We need to give those guests something to talk about, after all.
