8 reasons to love Jack Grealish's comical appearance during Man City's title celebrations

Everyone loves a maverick player - and Manchester City have definitely got one in the form of Jack Grealish. It might not have been his best years in terms of goals and assists, but that did not stop him celebrating like he'd had the year of his life.

The England international scored just three times in the Premier League after becoming the most expensive British player of all time when he signed from Aston Villa last summer for £100million. But he is a fan favourite and his teammates love him.

Let's be honest, it is difficult not to with his 'Jack the lad' persona and down-to-earth manner - though on the pitch he is the classic pantomime villain with his theatricals. Nevertheless, this weekend's antics as he celebrated his first Premier League title just reiterated why everyone loves Grealish.

Necking beers

We all have that one mate that is a bit mad for it and Grealish is that man for City. At one point, with fans and his teammates egging him on, the 26-year-old necked some beers on stage much to everyone's delight.

It might be suffice to say that he will need to glug a few Beroccas this week over the bevvies.

Savaging Silva

One of many viral clips of Grealish to do the rounds on social media was where he absolutely savaged Bernardo Silva as Kyle Walker and John Stones tittered beside him like schoolchildren. "The main person I want to thank is Bernardo Silva," Grealish croaked. "For coming off in the 70th minute - because he was miles off it!"

That stage walk

Donning a pair of sunglasses and two drinks in his hands, Grealish strolled onto stage looking more like a rockstar than a footballer as his teammates applauded. He might not have had the best season on the pitch, but it is safe to say that the forward was enjoying himself.

His own scarf

At one point during the party came the customary singalong of Queen's 'We Are The Champions', where Grealish did not disappoint. Filming himself alongside Scott Carson, the City star sang along.

Around his neck, Grealish wore his own scarf with his name and face all over it which had been thrown to him by a fan - because why not!

Grealish's Almiron attack

After ribbing him on City's TV channel, Grealish could not help but take another pop - this time at Riyad Mahrez - comparing him to Newcastle's Miguel Almiron. Poor Miggy must have been wondering what he had done to be taunted.

He said: “Riyad [Mahrez]: take him off as soon as possible… he played like [Miguel] Almiron.”

Stitched Walker up

Grealish even had Pep Guardiola in hysterics after savaging Walker on stage by stealing the mic of Mahrez, who had asked the defender if anyone had beaten him in a 1v1. "[Kylian] Mbappe? Neymar?", the Algerian asked before saying "Jack?"

The City star nabbed the microphone before saying: "Me when I was at Aston Villa, that's why Pep signed me." The Catalan coach, who was at the side, immediately burst out in laughter - showing that the player is universally loved.

Richards FaceTime

If there is anyone that can match Grealish's mood this weekend, it would have been Micah Richards. So naturally, when the City ace FaceTimed the former defender live on air, Richards could not contain his excitement.

Looking a bit worse for wear, Micah begged his buddy not to swear - though he might have accidentally muted himself.

Kitman party

Another popular member of the City dressing room is not even one of the players - it is the kitman. Brandon Ashton is a legend at the club and a clip of him in some budgie smugglers sliding through at the weekend.

Well, he was at it again, this time atop of Grealish's shoulders as the two celebrated the Premier League title on a wild day out.
