73% of Consumers Say Their Internet Bills Rose This Year — Is Yours One of Them?
A higher internet bill doesn’t always mean the service itself costs more. Expired promotions, equipment rentals, and optional add-ons can raise the monthly total, so check every charge before agreeing to pay more – Shutterstock

Your internet bill can climb even when your household habits stay exactly the same. The same router sits on the same shelf, the same devices connect every day, and nobody suddenly starts downloading the entire internet. Yet the monthly charge keeps creeping upward.

A 2026 Consumer Trust Survey from Reviews.org found that 73% of respondents reported higher internet bills this year, up from 43% in the previous year’s survey. Among respondents who experienced increases, 30% reported paying $10 to $20 more each month.
