Halloween adventure
Stockeld Park, Wetherby Road, Wetherby, LS22 4AN
This year, the adventure park has sought inspiration from the Mexican festival of Dia de los Muertos to bring a splash of joyful colour to the usual menu of spooky Halloween fun. The family festivities will take place from Saturday, October 22 until Sunday, October 30 with lots for everyone to enjoy. There will be a family-friendly adventure park area as well as a haunted farmhouse for those looking to be spooked.
The Enchanted Forest will also be transformed into a vibrant fall festival with decorations ranging from skeletons, butterflies and flowers in bright colours. Little explorers might find themselves face to face with magical enchanting ancestors roaming the forest to share stories and clues about other activities in the park.
The week-long Halloween activities will include pumpkin picking. The venue’s Magical Maze will be transformed into an exciting Monster Maze where guests will be tasked with hunting down some of the friendly monsters wandering within.

Ghost Hunting at Armley Mills
Armley Mills, Canal Rd, Armley, Leeds LS12 2QF
Generations of poor men, women and children toiled in dangerous conditions at this Leeds mill which is now a museum. Haunted Happenings will be hosting a ghost hunting night on Halloween for believers and sceptics alike. This event is happening on Monday, October 31 and is rated as strictly adults only. Inzombifest
Beaver Works, 36 Whitehouse Street, Hunslet, Leeds LS10 1AD
If you’ve got the energy for it the famous Leeds Halloween rave is happening at the Beaver Works on Saturday, October 29. Running between 8pm and 8am there will be 30 DJs playing on the night with Leeds’ most famous, Tom Zanetti, set to appear. Up to 4,000 people are expected to be there for the party. Ghost hunting
Thackray Museum of Medicine, 141 Beckett St, Harehills, Leeds LS9 7LN
This Leeds museum of Victorian medicine is notorious for its grim exhibits but its earlier history is equally grim. The museum used to be a workhouse where the poor and sick lived in pretty miserable conditions until death. Visage Paranormal will be hosting a ghost hunting night at the museum for adults only. Ghostbusters
Everyman Trinity Leeds, Albion Street, Leeds, LS1 5AT
The classic Halloween family movie about three unemployed parapsychology professors who become Ghostbusters is being screened in Leeds. The Sunday, October 30 showing will be happening at 6pm. It is part of the venue’s Scream on the Green season. You can find out more and buy tickets here.
Swithens Pumpkin Festival
Swithens Lane, Rothwell, Leeds LS26 0BT
Get your wellies and your Halloween costumes on! The scary tractor ride, haunted woods and visitors might even encounter a witch. The Swithens Pumpkin Festival will start on Saturday, October 15 continuing on Sunday, October 16, Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 30. You can find out more here.
Sneaky Experience film showings
Kirkstall Abbey, Abbey Road, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3EH
The Sneaky Experience team are once again delivering an attraction not to be missed. On Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 there will be some classic Halloween films being shown in the outdoor space at Kirkstall Abbey - some will be a little scarier than others. The programme includes Hocus Pocus, The Shining and Nightmare on Elm Street. You can find ticket info and get more details here.
