Almost a quarter of homes across the United Kingdom run out of money for household essentials - and voters refuse to believe that the Government is chipping in enough, say a group of charities.
Across the nation, 37 per cent of Britons end the month without any money left, while 24 per cent say that they run out of cash for essentials most months according to research.
The findings come from a survey set up for the Together Through This Crisis initiative, founded by Save the Children, Turn2us, Little Village, Shelter and 38 Degrees.
