The aircraft, carrying six people, was flying toward Boston when it disappeared from radar, with the US Coast Guard launching air and surface crews to search for the plane, the New York Post reported, citing Coast Guard and flight-tracking information.
The Coast Guard said it was notified that contact with the aircraft had been lost and that crews from Air Station Cape Cod, US Coast Guard Station Brant Point in Nantucket and the USCGC William Sparling were involved in the search.
