The matchup for Super Bowl LVI is now set: the Los Angeles Rams will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium on February 13.
The Bengals, who eliminated the Tennessee Titans the week prior, continued their magical run through the 2021 playoffs on Sunday when they overcame an 18-point deficit to stun the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime, 27-24, to capture their first AFC title since 1988.
Interestingly enough, that was the first 18-point lead the Chiefs had blown since the 2017 playoffs when Marcus Mariota and the Titans pulled off an epic comeback to win after being down 21-3.
Meanwhile, in the NFC Championship Game, the Rams had to stage their own comeback to advance past the San Francisco 49ers, 20-17, giving the Rams their first Super Bowl trip since 2018 when they lost to the New England Patriots.
When the Rams and Bengals meet in a little less than two weeks in Super Bowl LVI, there will be former Titans on both rosters who could win a ring.
