A £5million drug dealer used his ill-gotten gains to buy a house, join an "expensive" golf club and shop at Louis Vuitton.
"Greedy" Liam McHale also boasted about buying a £24,000 Rolex watch while peddling vast quantities of heroin and crack cocaine under the pseudonym "Lawless Fly". His expensive tastes stretched to jewellery and designer clothing, while he had also set up a crypto mining rig [a process of making digital 'coins' using an arrangement of computer hardware].
Liverpool Crown Court heard this week that the 34-year-old operated on encrypted communications platform EncroChat and was involved in the supply of "multi kilo amounts" of heroin, cocaine and cannabis using the handle LawlessFly. Charles Lander, prosecuting, described how McHale had an "extensive network" of 65 other users saved in his contact list and detailed his business in notes saved on his phone.
