Five days after Sahil Wakode, a second-year BTech student, died by suicide at IIT Bombay, News18 aired two segments built around CCTV clips from his exam hall, one 10 seconds long and one 58.
His parents have accused Prof Suryanarayana Doolla, who invigilated the exam, of caste-based discrimination, and police have registered an FIR naming him and others under abetment-of-suicide provisions and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, according to The News Minute.
