53 days till Bengals season opener: Every player to wear No. 53 for Cincinnati

The No. 53 for the Cincinnati Bengals isn’t nearly as prestigious as the No. 54 throughout franchise history so far.

That 54 is the only retired number in Bengals history, last worn by Bob Johnson in 1979.

As for No. 53, linebacker Bo Harris in the mid-70s might be the most notable to ever don it. More recently, it has belonged to the likes of Billy Price and Marquis Flowers.

With about 53 days until the Bengals start the regular season against the Cleveland Browns, here’s a look at every player who has worn that number in franchise history, per the records at Pro Football Reference.
