The Shloka That Tells You Feelings Are Weather
The mind at 6 a.m. is rarely quiet. Anxiety about a meeting, a half-formed argument from the night before, the low hum of something you can't name, all of it arrives before you've spoken a word. Bhagavad Gita 2.14 addresses this with a precision that no amount of breathwork quite matches. Krishna tells Arjuna: the contacts of the senses give rise to cold and heat, pleasure and pain. They come and go; they are impermanent. Endure them, Arjuna.
