The 49ers weren’t able to get through their regular season finale injury free. Head coach Kyle Shanahan immediately after the game said there were a pair of players who went down for San Francisco.
Defensive end Clelin Ferrell was carted off relatively early in the game. The good news for San Francisco is that their starting DE didn’t suffer injuries to his ACL or MCL per Shanahan, but there’s a chance Ferrell could wind up missing time.
Shanahan will likely have more information about Ferrell’s prognosis when he speaks with reporters Monday.
Second-year safety Tayler Hawkins was also hurt late in the game and is dealing with a wrist issue. He was up from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
