The 49ers on Saturday announced a pair of practice squad elevations for the NFC championship game.
Linebacker Curtis Robinson and wide receiver Willie Snead IV will both be on the active roster Sunday. Whether they will suit up is unclear.
San Francisco may dress Snead as depth at WR because Deebo Samuel is dealing with a shoulder injury.
Robinson may also be up to give some assistance on special teams after the 49ers struggled on kick coverage during the divisional playoffs.
There’s a chance though that this is just a financial reward for both players who were on the practice squad for most of the season. By being up on the active roster they receive a game check, even if they don’t suit up.
