HYDERABAD: To provide uninterrupted quality power to the IT corridor and surrounding areas, the Telangana government will soon commission a Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) of 400kv capacity at Raidurg. This will be the first 400kv GIS substation in the country with Monopole technology, Telangana Transco officials said.
The substation, which is being constructed at a cost of 1,400 crore, is expected to meet power demands from IT companies, IT campuses and also major infrastructure projects coming up in Gachibowli, financial district and surrounding areas.
