4 takeaways from the Eagles agreeing to a deal with former Chargers LB Kyzir White

The Eagles quietly made a sound move on Saturday, agreeing to a one-year deal with linebacker Kyzir White.

White played safety for the West Virginia Mountaineers and was drafted by the Chargers in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

An Emmaus High School alum from Western Pennsylvania, White enrolled at West Virginia following two years at Lackawanna College and recorded 152 total tackles, four sacks, three interceptions, nine passes defended, and four forced fumbles as a safety during his tenure with the Mountaineers.

After struggling to adjust as a linebacker under former head coach Anthony Lynn, White had a breakout 2021 season under new coach Brandon Staley.

Here are four takeaways from the move.
