The Seahawks are up against it once again this week, as they’re visiting the 49ers, who have beaten them handily four times in a row.
Last week we hit on four of our five prop bets against the Cowboys – and we were one Jason Myers missed away from going 5/5. Let’s see how we do this week. Here are four of our favorite prop bets for this matchup from BetMGM.
Christian McCaffrey over 79.5 rushing yards (-115)
Christian McCaffrey has averaged well over 100 rushing yards per game against the Seahawks since he was traded to the 49ers last season. Combine that dominance with Seattle’s absolutely atrocious tackling of late and it’s hard not to see him putting up at least 80 yards on the ground this week.
Geno Smith under 242.5 passing yards
Since he took over as the Seahawks’ starting quarterback last year Geno Smith has faced these 49ers four times and he hasn’t looked good in any of them. In those games he has averaged 217 passing yards and only posted a passing total over this prop once.
Geno Smith over 0.5 interceptions
Geno Smith has also seen his turnover issues return, which were a major problem in the second half of last season. Since the Seahawks returned from their early bye (Week 6) Smith has thrown a total of eight interceptions in his last eight games.
First quarter highest scoring quarter (+525)
Seattle’s offense broke out of its funk last week on the road against Dallas, posting 35 points against a top-five defense. While they didn’t do nearly as good the previous week against the Niners, these Seahawks have usually gotten off to a hot start offensively and dropped off after halftime.
