The 2022 NFL season is into Week 3, after the first game of the slate on Thursday.
The third week will end, however, with an intriguing game: The Dallas Cowboys will visit the New York Giants — playing this Monday at 8:15 PM ET on ABC and ESPN+. You’ve got a 2-0 team facing its NFC East rival, a team that won its first game of the season last week matching up in primetime. It’s sure to be entertaining, even if these aren’t the cream of the crop in the NFC.
So why should you watch this game? Let’s get into that right away and dive into the three reasons to watch:
1
Cowboys-Giants games are always fun
OK, maybe not ALWAYS.
But there’s always some bad blood between the two NFC East rivals, which means some intensity will be there, even if — as I said above — the two teams aren’t necessarily the best of the best in the conference.
2
Saquon Barkley could continue running over everyone
Saquon Barkley is the #NFL's leading rusher, after two weeks, and only Lamar Jackson's 79-yard touchdown run is longer than Barkley's 68-yard scamper in Week 1 at Tennessee. #Giants

Saquon Barkley revenge tour.

Seems like Saquon’s completely back. The running back has been the focal point of the Giants’ offense, and it’s been a joy to watch.
3
It could be the start of a QB controversy in Dallas
I’m kidding! I promise!
But Jerry Jones stirred the pot a bit this week when he said this as Dak Prescott continues to be on the mend and Cooper Rush takes over under center:
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones declined to confirm to us that a Cooper Rush couldn't result in a decision. "Wouldn't it be something if you had a dilemma as to which way you go?" Jerry said of QBs Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush. "You do that if he gets to 10 wins."

Yeah, no. That’s not happening. But the point is this: If Rush can win some games for the Cowboys and Prescott comes back? That would be HUGE.
