'No Place to Be Single' (2026)
Starting things off with a breezy new romcom, "No Place to Be Single" is inspired by Felicia Kingsley's bestselling novel of the same name. Beyond its stunning scenery, which offers the same kind of escapist charm as "Mamma Mia!," it feels likes a reimagining of "Pride and Prejudice" in the rolling Italian countryside, with a summer fling that's easy to get swept up in.
The movie whisks us away to a picturesque Tuscan town where romance seems to be on everyone's mind. Nearly everyone is either happily in love or searching for "the one," with the exception of single mother Elisa (Matilde Gioli). But when a childhood friend (Cristiano Caccamo) shows up out of the blue, it throws Elisa’s carefully balanced life into disarray, stirring up emotions she never saw coming.

'The Equalizer 2' (2018)
For a shot of adrenaline this weekend, look no further than "The Equalizer 2," Denzel Washington's first time returning to a sequel of one of his own films. Though it doesn’t completely escape the sophomore slump, it's still a solid action-thriller that's worth a watch if you enjoyed the first.
Washington effortlessly stepping back into the role of former Marine-turned-vigilante Robert McCall, now living a quiet life as a driver. That is, until the sun goes down, when he takes up the mantle as the protector of the innocent once more. His crusade takes a personal turn when his close friend Susan (Melissa Leo) is found dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide. Determined to uncover the truth, he sets out on a globe-trotting quest to find those responsible, using every skill at his disposal to exact justice.

'The Wolf of Snow Hollow' (2020)
As a horror nerd, it only feels right to end this list with the spookiest entry. “The Wolf of Snow Hollow” is an offbeat genre mashup written, directed by, and starring Jim Cummings. With its mix of small-town drama, horror, and dark comedy, the film feels equal part procedural thriller and creature feature.
When a series of brutal killings rock a small town, the locals start to suspect a supernatural predator may be behind it given new bodies only ever show up after a full moon. But the local sheriff John (Cummings) already has enough to deal with, and is determined to find a logical explanation. As the body count rises, suspicion spreads through the community and the evidence points to increasingly bizarre directions.
