The problem Shankaracharya actually solved
Adi Shankaracharya walked from Kerala to Kashmir and back, twice, before he was thirty-two. He debated the sharpest philosophical minds of his era, wrote commentaries on the Brahmasutras, the Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita, and established four mathas at Sringeri, Dwarka, Puri, and Joshimath. He did this without a productivity system. What he had instead was a precise understanding of why the mind scatters, and a set of practices that addressed the root rather than the symptom.
