A 24-year-old man from Fairfield West in Sydney has been arrested and charged with allegedly playing a role in a conspiracy to commit a shooting in a public place.
The arrest came hours after a late-night raid at a home on Isis Street in Sydney’s Fairfield West in a tightly coordinated operation involving multiple specialist police units. The street was placed on lockdown for approximately one hour as a Bearcat armoured vehicle and heavily armed officers surrounded the property.

Police ordered at least three women out of the home at gunpoint, and detectives searched the property around 11:15pm on Sunday. The authorities allegedly seized prohibited drugs and a mobile phone. It is understood that the man the authorities were looking for was not home at the time of the raid.
A neighbour told The Daily Telegraph that the residents who live in the home moved in a couple of months ago.
“The [police] were asking people to come out, then they searched inside. There was nobody else there, and then they left,” they said.

Around 6pm on Monday, police executed second search warrant at a separate home in Greenacre, following further inquiries. During the raid, another mobile phone was seized.
Two hours later, police returned to the Isis Street home in Fairfield West and arrested a 24-year-old man.
The man was taken to Cabramatta Police Station and charged with three counts of supplying prohibited drugs more than indictable and less than commercial quantity, two counts of prohibited drug less than or equal to small quantity, two counts of possessing an unauthorised pistol, participating and contributing to criminal group activity.
He was refused bail, and is set to appear at Bail Division Court 6 today (Tuesday 30 December 2025).
Investigations into the alleged conspiracy to commit a public shooting are ongoing.
