A man who is rushed to hospital after crashing his motorbike into a telegraph pole will be featured in the latest episode of 24 Hours in A&E. The Channel 4 show, to be aired tonight (February 7), is entitled 'People like us' and focuses on the importance of family ties for all the patients who are treated at the city's Queen's Medical Centre.
This includes Connor Bunker, aged 21, who is rushed to the hospital after crashing his motorbike into a telegraph pole. It also follows the story of Robert Francis, a 69-year-old who has locked-in-syndrome.
Mr Francis is admitted into resuscitation after his breathing tube becomes dislodged, leaving him struggling to breathe. Meanwhile in Minor Injuries, 58-year-old Lisa is receiving treatment for an injured wrist after she slipped in the shower whilst on holiday.

It is the sixth of eight episodes to come from the filming at the Nottingham hospital - the first of the programme's series to be set outside of London. The fifth episode, which aired on January 31, focused on a wave of suspected needle spiking attacks in the city.
The followed three female university students who were all suspected victims as they sought treatment at the city's Queen's Medical Centre. The previous show was filmed in October 2021, when a surge of needle spikings were reported across the UK, resulting in an urgent report being ordered by the Home Secretary. Nottingham was at the epicentre, with 146 reports being made in two months.
Episode six of 24 Hours in A&E, entitled 'People like us', airs on Channel 4 at 9pm.
