It’s time to look beyond the horizon, towards a year brimming with some of the hotly anticipated video games of all time. 2026 is shaping up to be a behemoth year for game releases of all shapes and sizes.

Grand Theft Auto 6 might be the biggest launch of the year, dropping like a meteor shower during the holiday season, but it’s too early to call it the most pivotal release of the year. From new IPs being carved out by beloved studios to sequels of long-running franchises, as well as unpredictable indies, 2026 is shaping up to be a substantial full-course meal with something for everyone. Here is the full schedule of the 2026 games release for you to keep an eye on.

It’s 2026, and there’s still a massive supply (and presumably demand) of open world gacha games with visual similarities to Genshin Impact. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins is the first in line, an action RPG from the publisher of Solo Leveling: Arise. This video game adaptation of the iconic anime and manga series takes place in the sprawling and vibrant world of Britannia. It features a range of playable heroes, both original and returning, including fan-favourites such as Diane and Elizabeth.

Code Vein 2 is a larger, more ambitious game that tells a mind-bending narrative, unfolding across two interconnected timelines. Expect a staggering amount of character creation options, two new weapon types, and several vampiric abilities to toy around with in this new soulslike title.
