2025 Grand Slam Tour winner to be titled 'Freestyle Chess Champion'

Freestyle FIDE Grand Slam South Africa

The members of the Freestyle Chess Players Club unanimously decided, at a meeting in Weissenhaus on Sunday, that the winner of the 2025 Grand Slam Tour, concluding in December in South Africa, will be titled the 'Freestyle Chess Champion.

Additionally, the players announced plans to form an independent association with a qualified legal team to safeguard their interests.
