The Seattle Seahawks knew their biggest weakness last year was their defensive front and they have focused on fixing this issue. So far in the 2023 NFL draft, they have gone heavy on the defensive line, including with their fifth round pick Mike Morris at No. 151 overall.
The Michigan Wolverine standout is certain to help give Seattle’s defensive front more teeth when going after quarterbacks, and a key strength of his was setting the edge – a crucial problem last year.
Fans continue to be happy about the selection.
Mike Morris in the 5th round has the potential to be the best steal of the draft🤷♂️〽️

The #Seahawks draft Mike Morris to be their big end/5-tech from Michigan! More of an outside guy than inside guy. Tweener-y. But at 6ft 5, 275 pounds w/ 33 1/2-inch arms, they will expect him to contribute on the inside. Signifies more bear and under front usage. 1.64s 10ys pops!

Welcome to Seattle Mike Morris.
It's funny only the #Seahawks draft history can get me excited for a 5th round pick. https://t.co/I5HDhRrrww

Mike Morris THIS LATE? The #Seahawks got themselves an absolute steal. Another one of "my guys" that I think is going to be a really good player.
