No. 9 on the Mountain West Wire top 50 player countdown is defensive tackle Cole Godbout of Wyoming. He did make our first-team all-conference selection but he did not make the media all-conference team.
Last year, he only played in seven games but he had 4.5 tackles for a loss. In his career of 32 games he has 21.5 tackles for a loss and eight sacks.
One advantage for Godbout who can be one of the best of the conference at his position is because of how stacked this Wyoming defense can be. With no single player to focus on will allow him to make some big time plays and sack the quarterback.
Wyoming’s Cole Godbout (#94) plays with heavy violent hands that allow him to frequently make run stops. Always seems to be knocking linemen back and discarding them.
