A 20-year-old male model has been charged in the stabbing death of a man in New York City, prosecutors announced on Saturday. Dynus Saxon was arraigned late Friday for the killing of 35-year-old Kadeem Grant on November 10. Saxon faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) responded to a 911 call reporting a male stabbed inside a Mott Haven apartment building. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a stab wound to the chest. Emergency Medical Services pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
Saxon, who had a large bandage on his right hand from an injury sustained during the incident, will be held without bail until his next court appearance on December 3. Prosecutors have not disclosed a motive for the stabbing.
Witnesses at the scene described a gruesome sight, with one resident mentioning the victim being covered in blood. The woman recounted seeing a photo of the scene showing the victim in a bloody state, handcuffed and surrounded by police officers.
Saxon, known for his modeling work, had shared his portfolio on Instagram, which has since been deactivated. He was previously represented by ONE Management, but the agency has confirmed that they no longer have any association with him.
The case continues to unfold as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident in New York City.
