Guwahati's schoolchildren top a worrying new list, while Nagpur's teens come out looking the safest, according to fresh research that surveyed more than 6,000 adolescents across the country on substance use. The findings, now out in The Lancet Regional Health-Southeast Asia, paint a mixed picture of how Indian teenagers relate to alcohol, tobacco and other substances, and the answer, it turns out, depends heavily on which city or town they happen to grow up in.
