NEW DELHI: Sensational Mehidy Hasan dished out an incredible batting performance, stitching an unbeaten 51-run partnership with No.11 Mustafizur Rahman (10*) as Bangladesh pipped India in a low scoring thriller in Dhaka. With the victory at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series.
Chasing a par 187, Bangladesh were down and out in the contest as India bowlers produced a superb fightback after a disastrous batting performance. But Hasan, who came out to bat at No.8 showcased nerves of steel against a rampant India bowling attack. Showing sharp presence of mind, Hasan took majority of the strike in the last-wicket stand with Rahman and took his team to the finish line in the 46th over.
