David Warner in race against time to get fit

MUMBAI: If India have lost out on Shreyas Iyer due to a back injury, Australia too have an injury concern ahead of the three-match ODI series, which will kick off at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday.

TOI has learnt that star opener David Warner will only play in the opening ODI if he is able to "bat comfortably in the nets" on Wednesday evening at the nets. The veteran opener needs to prove his fitness following his recovery from a fractured elbow.
