1More has a wide selection of true wireless earbuds and caused a massive stir earlier this year with their sensational Evo earbuds.
Moving away from earbuds 1More is looking to enter the world of wireless over-ear headphones with their new SonoFlow.
SonoFlow has a stylish design with a muted grey colour scheme that allows it to effortlessly blend into any scenario.
The headphones are made from a sturdy plastic that feels robust and durable, with its matte finish reducing scuffs and scratches.
The ear cups are nice one-size-fits-all without being too bulky while housing all the control buttons and the drivers. They cushion your ears with soft pleather that feels secure and comfortable at all times.
They are surprisingly light, only weighing 250g, and feel really pleasant, you almost forget they are there even on long sessions.
The hinges allow them to be adjusted for maximum comfort and to be contorted into an easily transportable shape.
The headband is very flexible but tough, allowing it to accommodate different head shapes and sizes without getting strained. They also add to the overall comfort with the pleather strap fitting securely.
They can easily be adjusted to fit your head shape however, the stainless-steel slider doesn’t feature a numbered click stop that's normally included with headphones of this price range.
The SonoFlow doesn’t feature any touch controls, which is a bit of a big miss as its design would perfectly accommodate them.
But they do feature the basic controls that most consumers will need including a power button, volume control, and noise cancellation.
The buttons are situated in an accessible location on the right ear cup, however, I feel 1More could’ve included more control buttons on the left side like an EQ profile button.
1More SonoFlow has an adequate design that will please audiophiles looking for an everyday wireless headphone, that isn’t too bulky and is easy to control.
The SonoFlow is built with a large 40mm dynamic driver that features both a diamond-like carbon composite diaphragm and a soft but thin polyethylene terephthalate film that reduces the distortion.
The wide soundstage offered a powerful bass that was accompanied by clear-sounding highs and mids.
I was very impressed with the audio quality with the standard preset offering great bass that wasn’t too overpowering.
They come with 1More’s Music app that grants further customisation allowing access to twelve different EQ presets.
While these can’t be further customised, the difference in audio quality is very noticeable and tends to compliment the musical style they are based on.
I found listening to a bass-heavy song while switching between the different settings was the best test and 1More has really done an admirable job at tailoring each preset to showcase something different.
You can clearly hear the massive difference between the Vocal booster and the Bass booster with neither diminishing the overall quality of the track.
However, It would’ve been nice to combine some of these presets to create a custom one or tweak them ever so slightly to find that sweet spot.
The app also lets users switch to the LDAC codec which allows for high-resolution audio over Bluetooth connections at up to 990 kbps.
The app isn’t all plain sailing as switching between some features will cause the headphones to have to restart for the changes to come into effect which isn’t ideal every time.
The SonoFlow includes 1Mores’s patented QuietMax Active Noise Cancelling Technology, which worked really well at removing outside noises such as wind, humming, and more, allowing me to listen to music undisturbed.
The big selling point of the SonoFlow is its huge battery life, boasting seventy hours with ANC turned off and fifty with it on.
I was very impressed with how well it performed and lasted over long periods of time and it never ever ran empty during my time reviewing it.
1More SonoFlow Verdict: 4 / 5
1More’s SonoFlow is a great first wireless over-ear headphone that has excellent audio quality and features that audiophiles would expect from a device of this price.
That being said there are a few omissions like touch control and wider customisation over the EQ which would have made this the complete package.
