£195m Euromillions jackpot 'winner' claims to be from Paisley in letter to Bargain Booze

A person claiming to be the 'winner' of the £195m EuroMillions jackpot has written a bizarre letter to a Bargain Booze shop in England - insisting they are from Paisley.

The mammoth jackpot was claimed by one lucky ticket holder in UK following the draw on July 20, a day after the numbers were drawn in Paris.

Almost immediately after the winnings were claimed, a rumour emerged that the winning ticket had been bought in shop in Formby near Liverpool - and quickly spread like wildfire.

The rumour gained credence after a shopkeeper at a local Bargain Booze in the town told Liverpool Echo she was "sure" she had sold the multi-million-pound ticket to the lucky individual.

However, the rumour has been blown out the water after the store in question received an anonymous letter from the apparent winner of the jackpot, claiming they actually bought the ticket in Paisley.

The letter read: "Dear Bargain Booze, I don't know where you got the idea that the EuroMillions ticket was bought in your shop. I am that winner and bought the ticket in Paisley. Just for the record. Mr J.U."

Camelot told the Echo that they can neither confirm nor deny the location of where the jackpot winning ticket was bought.
