The 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster was sold for $145,600 at the 2026 Amelia Island Auctions after spending more than five decades in one private collection. The rare Porsche had remained largely untouched and was presented in unrestored, barn-find condition, making its appearance at auction very different from that of a fully restored classic. Gooding Christie’s offered the car from the New Woodstock Collection, while Elferspot documented its long storage, original details and condition. Its sale brought an old Porsche back into the spotlight without erasing the history that came with its decades of inactivity.
